Upgrades and repairs are currently available only from Kinesis, ErgoCanada our authorized service center in Canada or from Backshop,
our authorized service center in Europe (The Netherlands). However, before you
conclude that your product is broken, visit our technical
support web site to see if your problems can be solved without repair.
In our factory repair center, most service work is completed within 48 hours.
Call or email for options and pricing. Provide your keyboard serial number,
approximate purchase date, and address. Many upgrades and repairs can be
accomplished without returning your keyboard to Kinesis.
Upgrade: Your Essential keyboard can be
programmable! Or add the newest features by upgrading your firmware (Model 120 or newer models only).
Many upgrades can be accomplished in the field.

Detailing available: Restore your dirty old keyboard to squeaky-clean condition. Keyboard is completely
disassembled, all plastic parts hand washed and restored. Only $70 plus shipping, turnaround is typically 3-7 business days.
Non-warranty repairs: on your older contoured keyboard. Most repairs can be completed for the minimum $50 plus shipping. Repair work is guaranteed for 90 days. For Kinesis factory repairs, if we cannot
repair your older keyboard, or if your repair fails within the guarantee period,
you may apply the repair charge (excluding shipping charges) to the purchase of
any new keyboard purchased directly from Kinesis (cannot be combined with other
discounts or special sale pricing).
