Kinesis has been my only desktop-PC keyboard for over five years now,
and I've never for a moment regretted the decision. One of the biggest
concerns I had when making the decision to buy a Kinesis product is the price;
after all, $200 may seem like a lot to spend on a peripheral which comes
standard with nearly every PC.
However, for those who really use their computers--for work, for play, for both--the
keyboard is the most important piece of computer equipment you own. And my Kinesis has
lasted me for five years, whereas I've owned three desktop PC's in that time. The cost is
negligible when you consider how much value you get, and the duration of that value.
I've attended and hosted dozens of LAN parties, and at every one, my
Kinesis keyboard never fails to draw attention. The Kinesis keyboard makes all
kinds of games--first-person shooters like Quake and its successors,
real-time strategy games such as Command & Conquer, and simulations
like the MechWarrior series of games--drastically easier to play. The keyboard
layout, the ease of use, the lack of frustration and the retention of
circulation in your fingers--all of these contribute to the
near-perfection of this keyboard. I have never had an ounce of irritation, pain, or
discomfort using my Kinesis. I can't imagine playing games, typing documents, or using my
desktop PC without a Kinesis keyboard.
